my x started doing this last month. the battery is only 1 year old, got tested at autozone along with the alternator. everything looks good. occasionally the car won't start. it makes a click noise and won't start. i have to take the positive connection off the battery and reconnect it again and it starts just fine. it's driving me crazy, it'll do it once in awhile but now since the weather is getting cold, it's been doing that about 50% of the time when i try to start it. anyone having somewhat of a similar problem?

i had the same problem, you need to tighten up your + connection to make it fit snugly on the battery, it shouldnt wiggle at all when on the battery.

i took it apart and clean every part on the connection last night to remove any corrosion and tighten the connection last night, but this morning, it does the same thing! i have to take it apart and put it back again and the it will start. the worst part is that i have to remove it with a wrench now each time since it's tight.

i know it may be somewhat left field ... i ha a similar problem with my old Camry and it ended up being the starter solenoid. After replacing the starter the problem went away.
