Hello everyone,
New to this site and wanted to say thanks for all the great info. I have learned alot about xterra's just reading through all the posts. Mine's a 2002 4WD with 111,000 miles. I bought it used with 59,000 miles in 2007 ( road warrior...daily work ride) and have had no problems. Anything you could pass on in regards to maintenance issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Again,

DM

what up. welcome to cx

if you're mechanically inclined.... the timing belt shouldn't be too hard. there's some good write ups on it.

as far as what to replace while you're doing it.....

get a full kit and replace the belt, water pump, t-stat, other belts, and if you'd want to do the alternator swap.... it's super easy to access while you're in there

Thanks again... sorry to ask so many questions ( NOOBNESS) but do most of you have a preferred online parts outlet or do you mostly buy local? Not so sure if I went to the local auto parts store here in Salem Oregon and asked for all the goods ( belt,pump,T-stat,alternator) that they would supply the gooderest stuff!?
