It's my DD so I am keeping this primarily factory all the way around. I went through one Jeep ZJ already by not respecting the fact that it was my DD. Anyways..this is my ride until I graduate college here in the next few years. I decided to do away with that old nasty looking faded/sun bleached plastic and paint it! If you haven't painted your grille to match the body, I suggest you do so. I also painted the front and rear bumpers to match the actual plastic trim. It takes years off your Xterra and makes it stand out from the rest!

im contemplating on doing that to my 01. its white. anyone else done it?

I highly recommend doing it. It makes your Xterra look 5 years newer at least plus the front end flows better. I have yet to figure out why the factory never did this. The body lines are built around the grille. But if you do it i'd like to see pictures! I love the look. Also the metal front and rear bumpers were painted to match the plastics and it did wonders. Got rid of all of that old faded sun aged parts.

Yeah I wondered that too. Cause on the frontier's they are color matched. Thanks
