This is were most all the loacals go, it's about 15 min west of Albuquerque, the area is all private property that has been opened up to OHVs. The trails range from dirt roads to stuff that will make your a$$ slam shut, and some that unless you're in a pure custom crawler you just stay the hell out. Met up with some folks from the local Jeep group this morning and went for a drive.

NICE!! You are lucky to live near there :)

Is your X all stock? I noticed your step rails are bent.

I hammered the steps today, they are now in the garage. I pick up my sliders and bumpers from being re-powder coated on Wednesday (The last time didn't hold up well). I've got a PML, and headers on it, going to do a 3" suspension lift and a 2" body lift shortly. It's great out here, not much mud, but enough rocks and good trails to make up for it.

This trail was really tight, and had some serious vertical drops...I now know why they call it waterfall...

Take Paseo to Unser, make a right, go to Southern, make a left and follow it till you come to the sand dunes 10-15 miles. Head off to the right and you'll see some trails that take you up on top from there it's exploring. Watch out for the bikes out there, I almost got one Saturday. This weekend there is a desert race and night poker run on Saturday. The local Jeep club is http://www.nmvjc.org People go out every weekend.

Beautiful pics man. I love the first one where your X looks like a dog about to mark his territory! I haven't gotten my X into any rough country like that (it's 2wd) but it reminds me of the times I got my Focus to lift the inside rear hustling around corners at the track. Good times. Again man, great pics, and a nice looking Xterra.

Ive been out there, thats where my sig pic was taken. I hate the road that leads out there, its like a cheap roller coaster ride.
