So i had an old Ford Explorer that the stock roof rack (had the roof rails with those crappy screw in crossbars). Well i was carrying my canoe to the river and a heavy wind caught the side and stripped out the screws. So i bought a Kargo Master Safari rack and used it untill i sold the Explorer and had the rack sitting in my shop for about 5 months. Got bored and here is what i've done so far!
Here's a b4 picture, thats me and my nappy head.

Heres the Rack with the Pro Comps. I really like them cause they match my paint scheme.

I just decided to make some light brackets from some scrap metal at work, also didnt want the light hanging way out.

I forgot to measure but luckily i had about one centimeter... to.... spare? lol

went through the rear hatch grommet, it hits a little but i have the industrial plastic rapped copper wire, and i put tape andwire loom/duct.

ran down the back piller, down the sde and through the firewall to keep from drilling also where i connected the ground wire

through the firewall (really large grommet, just used a small screwdrver to poke a hole, but not to big the grommet will stll be waterproof)

Decidedjust to make a really good ground out of the entire rack for when i install more lights.

I used the stock bracket that came with the rack, just tightened them enough to pretty much pinch onto the sde bars, and adjusted the crossbars to keep it from sliding, It prolly is a little to wide, but all the weight is on the side bars and not the crossbars. I think it turned out well for a 45 minute project. Tell me what you think, thanks.
