All Utah Xterra's and other vehicles, I am giving you an advance notice I will be organizing a trail run shortly that will either be next month or in December for any and all offroad vehicles not just xterra's as a part of a new club/organization I am starting.

You won't need to be a member of the club or anything but I will have a few stickers I am hoping to give away for people to put on their rig's and try to get some notice here in utah. I am currently working on getting the site up and finishing the stickers but I won't say anything about it yet.

Since their will be the possibility of snow it will probably be a desert run to see some old ruins and stuff. Let me know if you would be interested and what dates might look the best! I am hoping to get almost 15 Xterra's (that I know) together and a few jeep's / toyota's that I know as well.

It should be a good fun time and easy for all vehicles, that way I can stock people their and not scare them. But it won't be just desert road's so don't think you will be bored or anything.

Oh and for the rest of the club xterra member's here don't worry you wont be left out! What I am planning is more of a community based for anyone on the net. But it will not be to take away from any of the current forums but something hopefully to bridge some gaps between a few different fields! I will explain once I feel confident I got the idea, however I will say the name of it is "United Echo" and I do have the web address www.united-echo.com but just haven't got anything up yet.

Sounds fun! Count me in. I have class Thursday nights and one Friday a month, but other than that I can move my schedule around.

My X is stock except for tires, but it sounds like the trails you are choosing are going to be within my means. Since I have a flexible schedule, let me know if you want a second vehicle with you on any scouting trips prior to the main event.

I'll send you my email and phone number via PM.

Hey there, Just joined the forum to find people to ride with. I have a 2001 frontier xe crew cab, yellow. I was referred from clubfrontier to find people in utah. Iam way excited for any get together and this sounds great. I may even have time to purchase and install the lift i wanted before this meet. I live in sandy, but can go anywhere quick.

Great to see you on here friend! I am still trying to figure what will be the best weekend. I am going to be gone Dec 14 to 21. So possibly before that, what do you think?

PS everyone from utah, I have this coming saturday off and I think it might be a good chance to get one more good American Fork Canyon / Tibble Fork run if anyone is interested. Just say so... I am thinking about meeting at 9, four wheel until after dark and just explore! It's not an official thing just a fun run I wanna do!

I'd love to get out and do some wheeling. Let me run is by my girl to see if she wants to come too.

Oh man, that sounds awsome. Im still waiting to get my CV from pepboys, I think I could have it running by the weekend. The only thing is my upper ball joint was destroyed, so ive put together a boot that I hope will do until i order my uca's. Do you think I should try wheeling on that. Where exactly up tibble fork were you planning to go? If its just on the main road, I could make it because I have some pretty worn tires. I dont want to cause a big problem if my tires blow out or my ball joint blows out. Maybe atleast ill head up there to meet you guys and decide from there where I can go.

Hey thanks, Its nice to know that now I have some help, and more experienced than I. I think the hard part was popping the knuckle off. I hope it will all slide back in. Im just nervous about the upper ball joint.

Maybe if you guys plan to do go on a trail like forest lake, Ill bring my bike and follow you from the parking lot.

Hey KUMA, I too joined today from CF to find some local guys. I'm definitely down to go own and cruise with some locals. I'm a member of the Z Club of Utah, so I love cruises, haha. I'm sittin stock, so I can't do anything too crazy but keep us posted. If its going to be during winter break, any day except saturdays would probably be best for me personally. Can't wait to see that site you've got in the works. Hope to meet you guys soon.

Lol, come on up anytime. Utah Rocks! I live in Ogden, (About 30-40 mins North of Salt Lake City) and within 20-30 minutes of my house, I can do almost any type of recreation ever heard of, depending on the time of year.

While I'm not a huge outdoors guy (would like to get a little more active) I really love Ogden and Utah. A lot of people I know complain, say it sucks, and is boring, but they fail to step out of the house and see how lucky we really are. 4 Seasons, Great scenery, etc. Utah is a great to visit or live

UTfrontier

Amen. You get to try many different adventures depending on the season. Summers got all the water sports, jordanelle, lake powell, strawberry, bear lake and many more. Fall is great for soo many I cant list. Winter of course brings the greatest snow on earth. And spring is also great for soo many activities.

The great thing is you can wheel all year round here. Even if you dont like the snow, within 2 hours your out in the sand with mild temps. I am soo excited to get my rig ready for all the wheeling I want to do in this beautiful state.

Great to hear my friend! So maybe I should start asking for everyone to start shouting out dates they would like! December 14 to the 21st is out of limits for me but any other day is good! Would everyone rather see end of November or early December? Also we were thinking a pre-meet and greet mid november at maybe murray park where we can just all meet in the parking lot and talk and maybe everyone could bring there own dinner and make it just a nice little meeting.

I don't have any real specific dates in mind, but like I said Saturdays are usually tough for me to get off. Last week of November/First week of December would probably be best on my end, not sure about everyone else. I work in the meat department at Harmons, so they have "No Request Days" based on projections around Thanksgiving and starting about a week and half before Chirstmas. The more notice the better. The pre-meet sounds really cool, and would be a good way to get know everyone instead of trying to do it as we're all mobbin in the X's and Fronty's

Im unemployed as of now, so my plans are wide open for any date. End of november early december sounds good.

I actually bought some used wheels and tires yesterday. The rims are from an 05 tundra, and he has dunlop duelers with more tread than my bfg's but still not alot of tread. The wheels fit and look great on my fronty. I think that since they are 17x8's ill have more options for tires when it comes time to buy new ones. Looking forward to the pre-meet as well, cant wait to have a great group of friends to spend time with.

This is for a cruise, the meet and greet will be aimed for november so I can get enough advance notice. I am right now thinking the 7th or the 14th or if we would rather maybe do it on a friday night so 6th or 13th? And time for meeting up will be in the AM, so we can get the most of the day light hours! And if anyone wants to come up later in the day I am sure we can arrange a time to meet up maybe like after lunch or something.

Well guys we are still up for tomorrow. We are planning on meeting at 9:45 am at the chevron in alpine. So far I believe it's Me, Dave (BlindIo) and UTfrontier I believe. Or as far as I know if anyone else is planning on joining up PM before I leave the house at 9 am and I will send you my phone number. If it's raining too much and we are worried about mud or just the general area then maybe we will head out to 5 mile pass or something... Anyway it should be fun and be sure to pack a lunch!

It was a good day, but the weather socked in just after lunch and we ended up in a mix of rain and snow. Alex and Derek both ended up a side trail to recover a rolled Land Cruiser in the middle of the snow and mud. After that we decided to bail out an head down out of the weather since it was getting slippery and fuel was becoming an issue for one vehicle.

I kind of wanted to keep heading up, but I had brand new tires and a full tank. I didn't want to break up the group and head up into the snow alone.

I won't be making the M&G (it's opening day of pheasant season), but I'm puting a vote down for early December for the trail run.
Some friends and I get a condo every year for Thanksgiving weekend up at Snowbird, so I'll be up there hittin the slopes at the end of November.

Other than that my weekends and evenings are wide open.

Sorry guy's I haven't hit you back in a while. Been swamped I am getting close to finished with the website design and soon while be slicing it and coding it. I am also working on some wallpaper designs for goneMOAB that I hope everyone would like! And a few other side projects. As for a meet and greet as well as a trail run I know how I want to do it and where to go but I am going to try and find a date that works for all of us but is far enough away that we can really get the word out and tell everyone about it! So I am thinking either february or march? Too far?

BlindIo
12-11-2009, 08:04 AM
I don't think it's too far out, but if it's in March you may have to contend with the low-altitude thaw making things swampy.

After next Thursday (Dec 17) I'm done for the semester until January, so pretty much any time in there works for me.

I think some of my friends are going to come in from out of state sometime in Feb., but I don't have dates yet.

UTfrontier
