I have an 03 xterra v6. Right now it will not start at all. I can hear the fuel pump, but no clicks, nothing. The instrument cluster does not light up. The headlights, the radio, and the blower work. Nothing else. Battery terminals checked, no corrosion and on tight. All fuses checked. None burnt. I'm lost. I've tried jumping it and nothing happens. It doesn't make the instrument cluster come on.
Anyone have ideas as right now it's sitting in a commercial parking lot with all the windows down about 2 inches and all repair shops closed tommorrow?
Please help as I'm typing this from the starbucks in the parking lot.

Did you check the fuses under the hood?

Maybe the battery shorted out? about a year ago my X started just fine and drove to lunch and back.. i went to turn it on again leaving work and nothing happened. no lights, radio, nothin and it couldn't be jumped. had to have my X towed. turns out my battery shorted out somehow

Did you check the fuses under the hood?
That was the 1st thing I checked after attempting to jump it.
starter maybe?
If it was the starter why do I have no power to anything else. My gauge cluster does not light up at all.

We tested the battery and it ws good. Radio, headlights, and blower still work. This makes no sense to me at all right now.

Well it seems after myself, my father in law, and my dad checking the fuses they all looked good. We switched the ignition fuses and the car started right up. Weird. So now the service engine soon lights on probably due to 1 bad fuse between the 2. Went to autozone and bought new fuses and will install them as soon as I get off work. Thanks for the help everyone.

Weirdest thing ever. That happened to my X last week. Exact same scenario too
