Took the 30 minute drive to The Cove today for my first dose of some real wheeling and had a blast! The new tires and the PML let me do alot more than i imagined. My camera is at my moms work but i snapped some pics with my dads iPhone

I ended losing both of the side pieces off the front bumper (i rubbed more trees than i can count on both hands) and smacked my fog light and the bottom plastic bumper, bending the fog light bracket and tearing up the bumper. I figure after all the trees i rubbed and rocks i almost came down on that this was pretty minor.

Me and my dad in my truck. But the trails are around a campground, and there was also a land rover event, so if there was any problems i woulda been covered. If it was a ntl park, or just trails in the woods i wouldnt have.

Gotcha, just know that its never a good idea to wheel alone when your miles away from civilization.

Yeah, for sure! The thing about this place is there is always a few rigs running the access roads, and always a camp within walking distance, usually with some sort of truck/jeep/buggy.

Don't take your chances, learn from other people's mistakes.

And don't worry about fog lights, if they broke its because they were in the way.

The only way to know what your rig really needs is to go out and see what breaks or fails, its a learning process. :D

I love that place, great trails and awesome scenery, but it ate my rear differential...another excuse for me to buy an ARB locker next week.

La Rana, it was actually your post on NOAS that finally got me to go! I love it too its beautiful up there, but until i get some armor i cant do any of the real trails like you run. Are you planning to go to the Ice-Breaker in March?
