Can anyone comment on what is the recommended fluid for an atf drain on the 04 X? I have 102k. Should I drain it and fill a couple of times or take it somewhere for the flush - which I have heard horrible things which have happened when flushed.

Has the trans ever been serviced?
If not I would drain and fill ,and maybe drive it for a week ,and then drain and fill again.

It will take 4 qts per drain and fill when the fluid is at operating temp.
Trans hold a little over 8 qts total.

I drain and fill my dads 01 Supercharged Frontier every 10 to 12k.
Overkill ,but fluid is cheap,and trannys arent plus its extremly easy to do.
His truck is at 200,500 miles and it runs great.

Trans has never been flushed, and the pan has never been droped.
