So... today i tried to go out with some friends to GWNF... a 08 Tacoma TRD off road, a 04 Jeep Rubicon, and a 1990 Jeep Wrangler... I wanted to leave around 7:00 am this morning, but the Wrangler held us up till 8:30, and he couldn't go very fast so that was making the drive even longer... and about 3/4 the way there his truck decided to brake something... turned out that his clutch line was drained witch was preventing him from shifting, so we bled it off and he decided to just go home before something else broke... so we finally hit the trail at 12:00 ish, go about 30 minutes into the trail, we hit the huge pond... the tacoma tries first and realizes that its a little too deep... rubicon says that he can do it, all he needs to do is keep on it in 4 high, and he also mentioned that he's not a *****... i posted pics of the trip.

yup, so after this trip i've decided that a hi-lift jack is going to be the very next thing i buy, but am still deciding on how to mount it, maybe i'll get the calmini light bar for the bed and mount it on one of the posts... or mount it to the rails and throw a tool box in the back instead to hold everything else... not sure.. but anyway, we got his stock spare on to get us to a tire shop and had his tire fixed up and at this point it was already 5pm so we headed back home to show off what little mud we acquired and battle traffic...
08 Tacoma had a 3" toytech lift and 34" toyo open countries, all pro front bumper. his frame sits at the same height as mine, the body just comes stock jacked up... it did look really good going down the road and on the trail...
04 Rubicon had a 4" and 33" BFG KMAs i think. Meh.
'90 Wrangler would have done awesome if he could actually make it there...
hope you enjoyed.
