Nice lookin' X and a good clean slate to start some mods when you're ready for them.

He is a really sweet kid. A Grandpa shouldn't have favs ... but he is! He, his three brothers, sister and mother are all living with with us temporarily until she can get back on her feet after losing her job. Quite a houseful!

Tim and Drake, thanks for the comments. I am going to make it look a lot cleaner by trying the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on the plastics to remove the tarnish. I figure even if it doesn't make them really shine it will help prepare for the next step which will be to paint them.

You could always do the heat mot to restore them to their original color... But if you are going to paint them anyway then give the magic eraser a shot... Good luck!

I had forgotten about the heat gun restore for the plastics! Thanks for the reminder.

Being a 2WD unless I find a field or backroad it will probably not get too dirty!
