I have a 2002 xterra XE V6 4x4. I have the original general grabber tires. I have almost 71,000 miles. I have been trying to do my research but can't seem to figure out which would be the best all season highway tires I should buy. Dunlops, pirellis, cooper, etc. Not sure. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. Thank you. P.S.: I do a lot of highway driving 60 miles roundtrip a day.

Wow, you got 70K out of the General Crappers? I can't really recommend any highway tires.

Do you ever go off road...or live where there is ice/snow?

If there's snow, is it deep, or a dusting/shallow, etc...?

Hard packed, or soft/compressible?

If you offroad, in mud, or on rocks, or on dirt roads/fire trails, etc...?

On road...is traction more important than precision, or is razor sharp handling more important than short braking distances, etc?

Is road noise a problem, or will howling treads be ok?

Is a soft comfortable ride important?

IE: To know the right tire...we have to know its obectives...as whats good on one terrain or driving style will suck on another.

Come up with answers to the above, and a right tire will appear.

Hello, Two tires that I like to use for All-Season.....BFG's All-terrains and Michelin's Mud & Snow tires. Michelin's may give you better mileage and better road control! ...these are just my thoughts on this...Aloha

I have put BFG long trails on almost everything I have owned the last ten years...good all purpose for the $$, The tire people fout me tooth and nail when I wanted to put 235/75 17s on the X, They finnaly wrestled me into a set of michelin LTX A/T 265/70 17, that scrape on the inner fenders, for just under $850.............

My 06' X came with BFG Long Trails on it. They seem to be an ok tire and ride pretty smooth. As far as snow, I live in Florida and well, there is no snow here, so I cant tell how well they do. I do know they are pretty good in the beach sand as I spent almost every weekend driving on the beach.
