The seat fabric on my 2002 SE dusk color gets dirty faster than counting up to 3. If you spill drops of water it gets a stain almost immediately. I think i will buy the original seat covers but first i want to fully clean the seats and floor carpet. I would appreciate if somone who has cleaned the seats could tell the name of a good product to use. I think the fabric material is too "delicate" for the x. I already have a hole in one of the back seats cushions.

My mom has this thing made by Bissel. Its called the big green clean machine (no seriously, it is). Its basically a mini carpet shampooer and wet/dry vac. The thing worked wonders back on my Jeep Liberty (black interior). You saw ever speck of dirt on that black carpet. The grey in my Xterra i havent had long enough yet to get dirty.

I will second the Resolve. It's great for spot cleaning but it sounds like you are wanting a full upholstery cleaning. Which you could do with Resolve but it will require a lot of elbow grease. I'd check out the aforementioned mini-steam cleaner/shampoo thingy JM was talking about. I'm interested to see how that works as well. I have leather interior but the unprotected areas of the floorboards will need a cleaning eventually as well as the cargo area from all of the dogs and gear I haul back there.

One of my dogs had an accident....I'll leave it at that.

The seats unbolt, 4 bolts each for the front. Take them out and blast them with cleaner and a hose. Mine came up beautifully and looked like new once I was done.
