Hey guys what's up I'm Aldo from Portland OR. After reading some of the amazing stuff on here I decided to finally sign up. I have (well my dad lol) a blue 2000 Xterra. we've always wanted one but never really had a chance to get one. after selling our subaru outback we got this baby for about $4000 from a toyota dealership (they wanted $7,000). it only has 112,000 miles too! I swear my mom can work miracles. when we got it its grille was really faded, had a baseball sized bump in the right rear bumper, dirty interior, bad brakes, and some other stuff.

We knew those were pretty easy fixes so we bought it and repainted all the plastics black, pushed the bump right back to how it was supposed to be, had a family member who worked cleaning carpets pull an "illegal" for us, replaced the brakes, plus some other little goodies. most of the stuff that we've done on it were because of me. my dad doesn't really want to do anything big on it, so i have to wait till i get a job again and be able to buy it from him or wait till I graduate when he said (supposedly) he was gonna get me a car (hopefully MAKO!)

We call it MAKO because in our family every single car has had a name and usually a beanie baby animal on the dash to make it unique. We have a red 2007 Nissan Frontier w/ a red bull. we call her Toro (spanish for Bull). Since the Xterra is blue and fast it seems only fitting for it to be named MAKO

thats all the pics I have right now. couple weeks back on our vacation i dropped the camera into the water at the beach(oops). gotta wait till we get a new one for more pics.

it needed new shocks so we got some Rancho RSX ordered for it. my dad wanted to get some cheap gas-matics sh*ts for it till i convinced him otherwise. besides the Ranchos were half off so what the hell. they should be here in a couple days. we're also planning on getting some BFG Mudterrains for it. probably some 31s. looking for a loadwarrior or similar too.
might also get a shrocks or TJM bumper in the later future. ARB seems kinda spendy. idk which would you guys recommend?

well as of right now i can't really do anything seeing as i don't have a job at the moment and my dad doesn't wanna go crazy with it.we've been doing little things but when i get a chance I'll buy it from him and make it like i always wanted which include:

-lift
-either shrockworks or TJM bumper w/ warn winch
-snorkel
-rancho shocks
-yakima loadwarrior or similar
-BFG 31s for now, might go bigger with lift later on
-4 hellas on top, 2 on the bumper
-flowmaster and headers
-tire carrier

most of this stuff i have to get cuz my dad doesn't wanna pay all of it but he"ll gladly take it and put it on (go figure). doesn't matter cuz ima drive it to school and stuff so its kinda mine haha

might even SAS it later on if i get real crazy

welcome. Looks like your list of mods are awesome. Try to find out about the Timing belt and if it was ever done. (due around 100k) That should be first on your list. Looks like you had your front driver hub replaced. If it was origional the writing wouldn't be there. Has that Jeep guy in the backround said anything to you yet???

as far as the jeep, funny story.
ok so we had a subaru before the X, so the guy felt like the only "badass" there. so when we sold the sub and got the X and started making it all nice and shit he freaks out.
he goes out and gets a BL and 33x12.50 Toyos and some other stuff for it.

so we"re just doing our thing messing w/ the X when he walks over all cool and starts talking to us. "so uh, you got a new truck there?" "well I just got this and that for my jeep blah blah."

psshhh please man. my dad even said "ima still have to pull your ass outta the mud anyway"

so now him and my dad are at like war now fixin em up.
