D&H Spec- Jared

Hello fellow Xterra owners. My Name is Jared. I have had my 2006 S model for about 3 years, and couldn't be happier. My wife has a 2006 pathfinder as well, we just seem to be a nissan family. Hope that we can all glean some information off of each other. I own a repair shop in Colorado specializing in Japanese cars and trucks. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Hey Jared,
Welcome to the X...
I'm also new on this site and I own a 2006 Xterra Off Road (manual).
I have a two questions... Do throttle body spacers really work?
If I want to put 32" tires on my X, do I need to lift it?
Thanks,
Warren

1) It is physically impossible for Throttle Body Spacers on a sequential multiport fuel injected engine to "work". People who sell them for such engines are snake oil salesmen, and, should be prosecuted for fraud. (not all know that, they sell stuff with no clue as to if it works, taking the makers word for it...)
(DO NOT get a TBS)
2)
a) 32" tires are a STOCK size on 2005+ Xterra's
b) A suspension lift will not make larger tires fit anyway (Except at your new RIDE height), as when you go over a bump, etc...the wheel goes up to the same place anyway (Your clearance disappears) - A Body Lift creates full time tire clearance, but no extra frame clearance, etc...)
c) Your X can fit 33's with no lift of any kind, so you don't have to worry about the rest, unless you want more than 33's (Some have 35's on their X's for example...)
