I have a black 2007 off road X. I recently got back from a trip to Moab, and Ouray, Colorado! It was some of the most beautiful terrain I have ever seen. I am wanting to build up my X so I can go on some of the more challenging trails. I am installing a 2" suspension lift this weekend, and debating on doing a body lift as well. I am planning on getting Shrockworks sliders and front bumper as well. Any suggestions for the new guy?

Welcome to CX!
Looks like you've got a good start already. I would stick with the suspension work first before deciding on the body lift. Suspension and armor would be my key focus but that's just me. OH and tires... gotta have the tread. Armor and lifts are just cool to look at if you don't have the tires to get you where you want to go.

Welcome to CX!
First things first, you will need to determine how aggressive you want to wheel your X. If you are going to take it offroad, you will want to consider the following:
a) You WILL get body damage
b) Your X will start making weird noises
c) Your MPG will go down
If you're cool with that, the I would recommend taking a look at the member build section and get an idea of what others have done. This will first address the question "is this possible". Also, the search function is very helpful. However, feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Welcome! Post up some pics before and after the lift...
Where do you live? We just had a group out in Ouray the last 5 days.
Your X can fit 33's stock, so, unless going for larger tires than that, a BL won't do anything for you.
A BL's job is to help you fit larger tires by moving the wheel wells up higher, so the tires don't hit them on compression/turns, etc.
The 2" SL you are planning will raise your RIDE HEIGHT 2", which improves your ground clearance for the FRAME.
Larger tires are the ONLY way to raise the axles and diff clearances though.
Generally, sliders and skid plates are going to do more for you, as you will NEVER lift enough to clear EVERYTHING (Not with a 2" kit anyway...), and the armor is insurance that you have a better shot at making it back to work on Monday morning, etc.
:D
IE: The Sliders are an EXCELLENT first choice, as they are the most useful armor for most people....and they provide a hi-lift point, etc.
If I had to choose between skid plates and a front bumper, I'd do skids first, as of the 2 options, its more protective.
If you can afford sliders, skids, and a bumper, sure.
:D
IF you ARE going to go for bigger than 33's...do the BL as contemplated, BUT, order the sliders and bumpers for the BL if possible, to avoid gaps that result, later, if you get non-BL versions, and then, later, do a BL.
:D
Start with your tire choices, talk to the guys you wheel with about what works where you'll be wheeling...and use that starting point to give you an idea of your probable build path.

I have no body damage yet from wheeling lol. Damn just jinxed myself.
And I'm not counting the Colorado Mountain Pinstriping.
No Colorado Mountain Pin Striping here either.
In NJ, I get Pine Striping.
