Best Buy has and adapter that ties into your factory antenna. Cannot find it online though. Cost around $29.00 USD.

It looks like this. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7729899&st=antenna+adapter&type=product&id=1140392383550

daver6, I dont know how it is on the 01 xterras, but on some of the 02-03s, there was an 8 pin DIN connector which you could pretty easly wire to to make an AUX in. I did it on mine and it sounds fantastic.

is there an 8 pin connection on the back of the stock head unit? if so this should work http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=1046. But i dont know how the aux would be accesed form the head unit and i gues it would have to be wired out of and a/c vent or else a hole would have to be drilled. Any help would be appreciated

i dont really know, i replaced my stock cd/tape player for a mp3 w/ipod jack..... why dont you just use the tape deck and a tape ( you know the ones with the wire and jack ) that would be the easiest i think

No 8-pin on the back of my head unit so the best solution is an fm modulator. Here is some good information on installing an purchasing one. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070329184041AAclWRk&pa=FYd1D2bwHTHwI79kFeIzRaxE.37faKgdtE9h4ru2NX659A--&paid=asked&msgr_status=
