So went to a dealership yesterday with a 2004 maxima with 126k miles and walked out with 2006 xterra with 50k miles.. I think its an S or SE .. it has 6 speed manual trans and 4x4 with VDC and I'm assuming the extras of a towing hitch and side rail plus roof package and first aid kit in the back..
So far- i like it and its fun to drive! This is my 6th Nissan I've owned... too bad I had to roll in 3K in negative equity into this loan :(

I feel ya on the upside down bit... I traded in a new"er" civic I had only owned a little over a year on mine. Imagine what that payoff was like. lol
Noooo! You got rid of the Max? Awww. I love my 97 Maxima. 156K on it and going strong.
Would love one of the new ones. I didn't care for the look from 04-08

YEa - the maxima went :'( ... but she was getting up there in mileage and also was having weird transmission problems and before it completely went, I wanted to move on from it (that was my 3rd maxima). Now I've stepped up (literally) to the Xterra.. Its still got the VQ motor from the maxima and has that 350z manual trans which I already like alot..
