whats a good tire pressure for bfg a/t's 275 70 16??

I never had them, but I think you should be around 35psi or so on the road...

There are so many variables that go into the proper tire pressure.

Do the "Chalk Test". Take a piece of light colored sidewalk chalk and rub it across the tread (from sidewall to side wall) on a section of tire. Then drive around the block. Look at the markings when you are done. If the center is rubbed off but the sides are not, it's over inflated. If the sides are rubbed off but the center is not then it's under inflated. If the wear is even, then you are at the proper psi. Obviously weight will change this, so check with the normal weight in the vehicle.

It would be a good idea to do the chalk test too, as that is really the best way to know if you are running the optimum tire pressure.

I just noticed my rear tire squeaks on almost any turn. I have exactly 40psi in all 4. I do like a very hard tire, but I wonder if that could be causing extra squeaks?
