I got my 2006 Xterra six months ago.
Awsome rig I use it for day to day driving and towing my quads.
we went to Utah from Washington towing two quads and all our gear.
Mileage was down to 24mpg, but figure with both ATV'S and all our gear we were hauling about 3600lbs.
of course we had to take the Xterra out for a spin in the mountains it worked great.
The main reason I wanted to write is to share what happened last night coming home from school.heading north on I-5 a car cut me off and hit me in the right front of the Xterra.
By the time i saw the car we were coliding I hit the breaks but the imact still sent me carreening into the concrete barrieron the side of the bridge.
Here is were i give credit to the Xterra at 70 + mph getting a solid hit from out of nowhere I was able to keep control even as i bounced off the wall. we went back today and looked at the skid marks.even more amazing only got a little dent and crinkled the plastic bumper.
Didn't even knock it out of alignment.
So I liked my Xterra before now I love it, I know i would have gotten hurt in any other rig

WOW!

It's great to hear that truck handled the accident so well, and that you came out of it OK.
