Can you believe someone actually thinks this is ok?
At first I thought it was one of those joke articles, like blinker fluid then I realized there was no disclaimer and I was chilled to the bone hoping no one actually builds this little death machine of theirs:

lmao you guys are overdramatic think about it... that doubled up hook will be stronger than the metal its hooked too... providing they use grade 8 hardware. Its no more dangerous than using an winch with a hook. Read the bottom its supposed to be a last resort kinda thing and clearly states a clevis is preferred. Some of yall are just jumping to conclusions from a few worst case scenarios as I have been pulled out with chains on my 70K work truck whenever I get stuck we dont even bother with straps. I have seen a tiny ass chain (3/8) I believe drag my loaded big rig up a slimmy hill the night before Thanksgiving by a International 4x4 tractor that was bigger than my truck. teh chain came from an engine hoist one of the big ones. A slow pull takes much less stress than yanking on vehicles.

What I dont get in the picture they hook it up right next to the receiver which would works safer to slide the strap into and put your hitch pin in but I could see this being handy in a very select few instances.

if you think this is dangerous have you ever looked at the shitty ass factory towhook on jeeps? or hell even the front hook on the X is pathtic and I avoid using it at all costs.

I don't see any thing wrong majorly....there's tow hooks with strap catchers in it and just put them on the hook (they come with the package) and you'll be fine...just like the clevis anyways.

Agreed. If it were mounted, no one would have a single concern about snatching with it.
