for the bumper go with shrockworks

as to the 35's do you really need to get up to that size or do you just want to get to that size???

I would SAS that biatch before slapping some 35s on her. trust me if you build it right you can almost any where on 33s. You should try and follow me and some of my friends some day...

solid axle swap...put a solid axle from an earlier Jeep
trust your not going to like your X if u throw some 35s on there...its has been down but not recommended

KushGreenXT

cool how did u merge them?...i got 17 inch rims and 33 inch tires

peewee

I would stick with the 33's, just go for some more aggressive tires. It will really change the look and I think you will like the way it turns out. Sas would be sweet though, just costly.

you dont have the option to merge posts or threads it is a moderator/administrator option...

as to the 17's and 33's you are going to bee looking at a big price tag for some new shoes.. LOL

You didn't say if you were planning to off road with it, etc.

Tires for 17" rims are expensive...so, you are spending a lot of money for shorter sidewalls/better STREET handling.

:D

IF off roading it, those flimsy aluminum step rails you painted will probably get broken, and/or break something else on your truck if they fold into your rocker panels or jam a wheel well, etc.

If your lifted X on 33's is a Mall Crawler, the flimsy aluminum step rails are OK.

If you are willing to cut your fenders, etc...you can fit 35's, but as mentioned, 35's do put more stress on your drivetrain...on the front end (The rear end is tough enough to run 35's no problem...)

Again, for a Mall Crawler, 35's won't stress the front end too badly if you are not stupid with the go go juice, etc.

More aggressive tires help immensely off road, but hurt ON road performance...so, again...we'd need to know how you plan to use the X to know the best way for you to go.

:D

So - What are your intentions with her, young man?

35's are too expensive and costly for those IFS on the Xterras. A member slapped on 35's and was constantly replacing just about every part of his IFS and he ended up getting rid of the 35's and went back to 33's.

Majority of us run 33's with no issues, to the drivetrain, that is.

as you can see..i ALREADY have 17's with 33's..2.5 inch lift..and YES, i do plan on off roading with it..any suggestions??

as far as the 35's..i think everybody talked me out of it..too many issues..ill just get more beefy, off road 33's..

what TJTJ was trying to say is the 17" rims are going to kill you the first time you want new tires... also it you hit anything with them they are going to get tore up just like the stock step rails...

if you are fine with that then that's fine with us just wanting to give you valuable info...

Ya man those rims will get trashed after a few times wheeling... I would sell them and get some 15" cragers if I were you.

and I agree just get some 33's with a more aggressive tread.

bluex

Agree...get some black steel cragar wheels and stay w/ 33 12.5 15
get some some BFG AT or some kind of Mud terrain tire...will be great for off road but the ATs will be good on & off road

I'm not to crazy about those rims you have your X now. Trust me those will get scratched up on some rocks.

Get rid of the step rails they will break if you wheel any harder than a gravel road. Put some boggers on it and it will look badass but those rims are a gonner if you try any rocks so stick to mud which will only slowly sandblast them.
