Ok i bought a pioneer Avic F500BT, and the ND-G500 gateway, along with the ipod cable for my truck yesterday. The gateway is supposed to hook up into your factory amp/stereo, to allow navi unit to play through the speakers of the car. (lets u hear directions/ipod/bluetooth hands free thru the speakers). The wires supplied with the gateway are frigging retarded, and do not fit the factory amp....Please tell me someone has this unit and knows what im doing wrong...do i need some other kind of harness???
Here are pics of the Unit, the gateway, and the wires that come with the gateway...they do not line up at all with the wires on the amp.....

Alright, basically what you have there on the end of that harness is a standard "VW" wiring harness. What you need is basically a bluetooth integration harness.

enter in that you have a 2002 Xterra, and the harness you'll need is 50 bucks, its totally plug and play after that. You can also hardwire it in line with the factory harness, but i can tell you from experience, it sucks to do. (be thankful you dont drive a murano w/bose system and have to integrate into that shit...they dont make a harness, had to make one...sucked)

Thats normal, being the rockford system you may just need to wire up a relay off the mute wire of the F500 to the amp turn on wire cutting it off when the F500 activates.
