First off, I have a 2005 SE. I am wanting to put on a set of black steel wheels. Stock wheels are 17" with 265/65/17 rubber.

2 wheels I am partial to are the

Cragar Soft 8, 397 series

&

American Racing 767's

I would like to stick with the 17" wheel size, but will drop to 16" if required. Who else makes solid black wheels with a silver center hub thats a 17 x 8, and 6 x 4.5 bolt pattern? What about offsets? :S

Anyone?

If I can get a set of 4, it'll look SHARP!

Any idea about offsets? Tire size (if I drop down to 16)

Those are some 16x7's with 4" BS.

i think the problem with the steelie wheels is that they only come in a 15" or 16" in the 6x4.5 bolt pattern, and neither of those wheels will fit around the brake calipers on a second gen....thats why a lot of guys go with 16" pro comp wheels

You could always do a Stealth mod...

The first link I posted was for 17" Soft 8's

possible the hub bore isn't wide enough...i know there was a reason that second generations couldn't use regular steelie wheels and thats why everyone either stealths their oem wheels or gets a different brand...like i said i cant remember what the reason was, but theres something preventing them from running those wheels....maybe even the 17" hits the brake caliper...cana second gen chime in here?

you can use wheel adapters like spidertrax adapters that adapt the 6x4.5 pattern to a more common 6x5.5 used by chevy, toyota, and earlier nissans like the 1st gen X....then you have lots more options for wheels but you need a higher backspacing to compensate for the width of the adapter....plus, the adapters run about $150 for a set of two, so thats $300 just to be ABLE to run a different wheel...kinda steep
