Well as you might have noticed in the title I don't have an XTerra YET. I am currently and owner of a 03 Subaru WRX and an 89 Honda Accord. I'm going to be selling both of these for a pretty nice down payment. I do know that I want either a 02 or a 03 and has to be in green. If you all have any advice for a first time buyer or know of anything for me to look out for please let me know. Thanks everyone!!!

I had 2 2002 wrx's now I have 2 2004 xterras and a 2002 xterra. I've only been in a second gen once, to move it for someone. But I like the first gen alot.

Not to be partial to the new Generation, but the 4.0 liter engine is far superior to any engine that came before it, supercharged or otherwise.

Thanks everyone for all the info. I know for a fact I want to get the supercharged model. Lucky for me I have a Nissan dealership 1 mile from my house so I'm going to be doing some test-driving of all the models this weekend.

Just be aware that the s/c gets horrible gas mileage. That being said, I wish I had the power.

Now that is one thing I was kind of stressing about. I went searching online and they have listed as getting about 16 mpg / 22 mpg. They never listed the s/c model though. Any clue on how much worse it might be?

Most people, I believe, are seeing about 12-16 mpg in the S/C
