I found a 2005 Off-Road with 5K miles on it for $25k (otd), but it shows signs of being off roaded harder than I want to see on such a new(ish) vehicle. There is some slight rock damage on the undercarrage and the bottom of the tow assembly, the engine compartment and underside are caked with mud, there's brush scratches down one side (which the dealer sez they'll buff off for me) and the rear bumper has some very noticible scratches on it.

I love a good deal, but would it be worth an extra $3k for a new one whose integrity is guaranteed?

I'd say for that price... go with new. You can't put a price on peace-of-mind.

I agree with Anthony! For that price you can get a new one that hasnt been beat on at all.

I agree, new is the way to go. I paid $23,500 for mine (2wd). You cannot beat having a warranty.
