FYI. The trail Ryan and i scoped out is very nasty, muddy, sloppy, and stinky. MT's are a must. Snorkle optional. Most likely we will be runnin this trail again. Its fun.

i might come down with a buddy in his wrangler...the pines is awesome, but for me its only a 1 or 2 time a year event....im gonna stick to the annual jersey devil run and maybe once more a year....but like i said i might run down in a friends truck or see if tim wants someone to ride shotgun

I have 4.88's, a Detroit Locker, True trac, and setups in my garage but don't think i'll have time to break them in if I do get them installed but who knows.

So the stupid angle of my Snorkel really got to me today and i decided to fix it. Tell me what you think??? I realized i missed some spots with the rattle can. I'll go over it when its light out.

any sand will work.

yup...aquarium sand, play sand, beach sand...just plug one end, fill and pack tight, plug the fill end, heat and bend.....i didn't do it when i had to straighten the lower 45* on my snork, only because it was inside the fender and i didn't care what it looked like....didn't bunch up though

yea i knew about the sand but there was no way i was going to take the fender off and try to pull the PVC apart so i just heated it and bent it. If that bend gets to me i'll just take it apart and do it again. No big deal. I do like that angle better to.

The Piney's are free to drive in. Unless you count the gas it takes to get there, the tolls, the $200 GPS unit so that you know where the hell your going, the $20 for camping a night, getting stuck in knee deep muck and take a day off work to tare out the carpets, power wash the whole truck at the local car wash, buy a new alt, or u-joints, then its not so free. Other than that then yea its free.

Well let me know. I might come down friday night with the wife and camp out anyway.

About the ECU relocation:
The factory location has it flush with the floor at the kickpanel. Bad spot if you go for a dip. All I had to do was trim a little of the dash away from behind the glovebox and mount it to the backside of the glovebox. The harness was long enough so no mods there. Now I have 44" to work with before the bottom of the glovebox. Hope I don't need it.LOL

Finished the "Stealth Snorkel". What do you think?

That Snorkel is awesome. i keep forgeting you got a Toyo. i'm not sure if my ECU can be relocated. Sounds like they put it pretty much in the same place. Mine is also on the floor behind the center console.

Are you going to extend it upwards, or put an "S/Ball" in it to keep out more water? (Like the top of a skin diving snorkel, etc....)

Not sure yet. Gonna try it out, as is, first. Later on, i'm either gonna homebrew an exterior snorkel or get the exterior parts for the Safari snorkel and connect. The Safari is so clean looking but pricy.

just be careful. Don't want to see ya suck up that muck. IMO the stealth snorkle is not real safe. Still has the possibility of getting water in the motor.

No problem Tim. I should be down there by 8 or 9 at the latest. I got an air pump for the mattress. Plugs into the 12v power outlet. Have you pumped up in 2 min. This aint my first rodeo.

probably aound 10 am lol. going to GF's house. sleeping (all night shift). sex. camping friday night. leaving barrens after wheeling (she lives 20 minutes away). sleeping at her house saturday-sunday. could pick you up from the pine barrens sunday afternoon and take you home. just need to figure out what to do with you friday afternoon lol. not sure if my girlfriend would be crazy about you chilling in the pool during sex time. if you can figure out what to do to keep busy.....i'm game. :aufkopfhauen-big:

I'm right off Rt 1 and Rt 295/95....Rt 206 and Rt 583 also cross here.

From my house to the Atsion Ranger Station is typically ~ 45 - 60 minutes depending upon how you drive.

Keith said he can take me home, so you're off the hook after I get to the ranger station.

well i'm a truck driver so i try to stay inside the box but i don't mind pushin it 5mph over the speed limit. Ok so then i'll get you about 7:45ish. I'll give you a call when i get close. I'm guessing the best way down there is 206? or just hop on 295 to 73?

I'll punch it in and see what comes up.

I typically just go down 206 S, as its simple.

295 to 206 to skip past some Trenton 206 sections is typical...then 206 the rest of the way.

I've gone other ways, but I'm not a morning person....so, I just go the way with the fewest turns, etc....but other ways might be faster, etc.

After googling, etc...I'll have some routes for you to choose from.
