Sweet X! how's that winch mounted??

thanx guys. winch is mounted to the frame rails via HF winch plate $39. its as solid as it gets imo.

Nice X! Where'd you get that tent from? That the first one I've seen that I REALLY like alot. How much did it run you?

i remember somebody posting a link to the RTT a few days ago and they were a little over $2K....

your X looks great and i want to do a winch setup like that... do you have any closer pics of it so i can get a feel of how it is mounted... i know my bumper is different but the concept is the same...

great X welcome to the club!

made the plate the width of the frame rails minus 1.5". then welded it to the frame rails. the rooftop tent will be one of the products i will be selling when i finish my business licensing. it will have my business logo on the first batch hopefully. i will be doing a lot of offroad products, example... for 1st gen xterras, snorkels, air lockers, and hid kits.

all i can say about price right now, is that it will be very competitive to beat. it will be affordable imo

I don't think I'm alone in saying I'd love to see some pics and/or a write up on how you added a winch with the factory bumper. Any cooling issues?

i will get some pics when i have a chance, been busy the past few weeks, just got back from iraq about 3 weeks ago. and i don't have any cooling issues, but then again i have 2 pulling 12" electric fans in front of my radiator; of course my next mod is some type of hood vents. my is still in the process of being build up as a expedition rig. any who, i am almost positive the frame is different on the newer xterras, so when i do get around to getting pics and discribing what i did, you will have to "adjust" the instructions a bit. mounted to my plate is a 10k, and it works wonders!!!!!

i will be doing something similar but the front bumper on my 00 is a little diffrent... i took some pics today and i will post them up in a little bit...

no, i have distributors. i by no means have the facilities for that. im just small starting up business; frankly im tired of being charged an arm and a leg for mods that i would really like to have. so in the coming 2 months i will have everything set up to where you can purchase various overlanding gear. i'm hoping that this business will allow me to travel to alaska, all the way down to the southern tip of south america.

the beach is padre island national seashore

before the end of the summer i want to try to get a few peeps down here for a meet.... i want to try to find out who i need to contact for a local beach clean up.... ricer-x and myself was at the beach Sunday and the amount of trash out there was terrible...

yep, it was like that all the way to the end, we were lucky to find that spot

i am close to there too but not really, lol
