Well since this is my first post, guess I'll introduce myself. My name's Jonathan, I have an '04 Xterra and I live in ND (only because of the Air Force). Now, on to the pics.
I got ScanGauge II after reading about it on here and I'm glad I did. Since I've got it, it's just been sitting on my central console as I haven't had time to mess with it. But today, I had time, and decided to mount it. I wanted to mount it up top and figured I could easily run the wire down the A frame. So I did.
First I removed the plastic cover on the frame. To do that, you must first remove the hand grip by taking out two screws and then pulling off the cover (it just snaps on).

Next, I removed the lower plastic... I'll call it a knee panel. Remove two screws and then pull it off gently. The right side is pretty tight against the steering column but if you wiggle it around enough you can get it off. Don't forget to disconnect any wires.

Next, I ran the wire down next to the tube that carries wiper fluid to the back window. You can run it right down to the OBDII plug.

Obviously, you have to be careful when zip tieing so as not to pinch off the fluid tube.
My next project is to install a Python 991 Security and Remote Start kit. After that, I plan on getting a Pioneer AVIC-F90BT head unit and probably some new speakers.
EDIT - As I thought, the Velcro would not stick to the fabric for long so I decided to remount it to the map light panel. I had to undo the coil of excess wire and pull as much as I could spare up the frame and run it above the ceiling over to the map lights.
I pulled that down and was able to squeeze the wire through and existing hole. But, I had to take the map light fixture apart to drill a hole to fish the wire in right behind where I wanted to mount it. I used a 1/2" spade bit to make the hole. I thought I was going to have to use an RJ45 coupler and make a small 3in or less piece of wire to get enough, but it turns out that the supplied wire was JUST long enough to accomplish the task. The wire is tight enough to keep the ScanGuage in place, but I will probably end up using the second piece of Velcro just to extra secure it as the roads around here are pretty bumpy, esp during the winter.
