Can someone tell me if the rims on a 2004 X is the same size as a 2001? The tires on both vehicles are 265/70/15.

I just realized you said the tire size was 265/70/15.for 01 and 04. The 04's have 16" wheels not 15.

Nissan installed 15" rims on the following:
- 2000 XE (with sport pkg)
- 2000 SE
- 2001 XE (with sport pkg)

The 2001 SE has 16" wheels (the second picture above)

The 04 wheels also have "squared off" spokes, not rounded off.

hmmm....the girl who was selling her rims on her 04 XE said they were 15's. I was hoping they were the same size so that I can use them.

They may be aftermarket, or she may have put the old style rims for some reason. If they are aftermarket, make sure to ask the backspacing to avoid rubbing issues.

They look like stock rims. Do you know if the 01's rims are 15x7?

yes 15x7, unless it is an SE model, then it should have 16x7

The rims are stamped with the size...so there should be no confusion.

All the stock rims are 7" wide with 5.25" of BS I believe, with the mix of 15" and 16" diameters as described above.

If they are the factory wheels, they will fit any X, from '00-04.

Obviously, if they are 15" rims, they will need 15" tires, etc.

You can of course run a different tire size than the truck came with...I'm running 305/70/16's for example, and the truck came with 255/65/16's.
