I'd like to find a way to add a different bumper with tow/hook points and a thicker steel, to the back of my 06. The one I looked at that some of you are buying is just to, whats the work, much. I don't need all that extra fluff. Does anyone make what I'm looking for? Also, is there a sturdy front brush guard that would work on my 06, I don't have a use for that big shrockworks thing, I'd like to be able to protect both ends of my X a little better.

Unfortunatly the bumper guards and brush guards really do not offer any type of protection. They are for looks only.

You can order the rear bumper from shrockworks without the tire carrier (your spare will still fit underneath). It will just be the bumper with the hitch receiver and shackle eyes (tow points).

You can also order the front bumper with nothing on it, just the plain bumper, or center hoop on top only. Whatever configuration suits you best.

Without hoops it looks much more conservative>>>

Thanks Boof, you don't know how much this cut down model sells for do you? I don't need the big off road version, but more than stock. This one pictured fits the bill, how does one go about ordering it? Does it come painted?

When I was considering it, it was ~ $450.00, painted, with 2 shackles. 4 to 6 week wait time before shipping.

Call Toll Free phone: 877-4-SHROCK (877-474-7625). The guy that usually picks up the phone is Jim Shrake, the owner/designer. He's a great guy, very easy going and willing to work with you if you have something particular you want.
