I've cruised this forum so often and garnered tons of great info. This forum is great. I'm not a mechanic but I feel I'm pretty good with tools in my hands and the information from this site will hopefully empower me to do the maintenance and repairs I thought only a shop or dealership could perform; almost to the point that I might feel dangerous. Thanks again to everyone on these forums. My wife has a 2005 Xterra that just turned 25,000 miles. She only works a few miles from the house. The oil has been changed religiously every four to five thousand miles. I just switched to full synthetic this last oil change @ 25,000 miles. We had many choices when shopping for our SUV in 2005 but my wife and I kept coming back to the Xterra and we have never regretted it. This vehicle has never been back to the dealer for warranty work from the day we drove it from the dealership. I am a fanatic when it comes to maintenance intervals. I look forward to contributing what I can to this forum in the future. Blessings.

Cool! Welcome! Another Georgia X-er. I've lived in Savannah for only a few months but thanx to Gixxersixxerman our local numbers may be beginning to grow. Tell your wife she has good instincts. My X is an '02 and I've had no problems. 89,000 miles and I'm still on the original shocks and brakes (just for an example)! Contact me anytime.
