Hey y'all. My name is Jared and I'm from Houston, TX. I turned 16 in August and have been driving a green 2000 2WD Xterra. It's nothing special...

It has a dent on the rear left side, basically on the corner. THAT one was there when I got it...however, the right side mirror being held on by goop...is courtesy of me (any better suggestions to fix this are very welcome).

The plastic pieces on the car are very faded and I need to paint them soon. I've kind of glanced over a few threads on that topic by searching, but haven't figured out what I want to do yet.

After all that's done, I want to do SOMETHING under the hood. But, that's one of my last priorities at the moment.

So basically...I need advice as to how I should fix up my X :)

Hey whats up Jared, I'm from Katy! Hows H-town? Im in nebraska now via military, miss Tx though. As far as your mirror goes, you should be able to order a replacement, then remove you door molding, disconnect/unscrew the old one, and install the new one. The dent may be able to be popped out, check with a collision shop, quick and cheap if they can.

Welcome! From Alabama. I agree with Mike, save up for replacement and just take your time with the molding maybe ask for help if you don't have much experience with it. Check the classifieds on CX, I see guys parting out rigs sometimes, maybe one can hook you up.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I've been surfing the boards and found a few things I want to do as soon as I get a dry weekend...There's about 6" of water on the street right now and over 12" on the street that leads to mine. So my X is parked in a parking lot down the street and my mom and I had to walk home. That sucked.

Next weekend I plan on taking off the grill and painting it as well as the stock intake mod. I can't wait!

Edit: I may even paint the wheels while I'm at it hahaha. It should be fun
