Has anyone tried Raybestos Brake Pads? I'm thinking about purchasing either the PG Plus (metallic) or the Quiet Stop (ceramic) pads for my 01 X.

Thanks in advance.

I use these on my 350z mainly because they're a low dust pad. They have the for the X too.

So you've tried the Raybestos pads and they make a lot of dust or are you making a general statement?

I've always heard you want the most metal you can git,so it really grinds into the rotor, thus better stopping and heat dissapation especially on heavy or overloaded vehicles, but they can also be noisy at times

No I haven't tried them. I just hate to clean my X and the next day the front wheels look like crap.

I also heard that Ceramic pads eat up rotors. Thoughts?

I've used the Raybestos ceramic ones, quietstop? they were ok, but were noisy like factory ones, craped the wheels and did'nt last too long. Best I've used so far is the Wagner Thermo quiet, they provided better grip, longer lasting, and QUIET, really but as dirty as OEM ones.

Best I have used was Bendix organic for absolutely no squeal. Unfortunately, the brake dust is unreal. They do have good stopping power and don't fade easily. They are around $50.00.
